Sit Dividend Growth Fund Class S (SDVSX) Research
The primary goal of this fund is to generate a consistent stream of current income that not only exceeds the dividend yield of the S&P 500 Index but also grows steadily over a period of years. While capital appreciation over the long term is also a factor, it is considered a secondary objective. To achieve these aims, the fund typically invests at least 80% of its net assets in common stocks that pay dividends under normal market conditions. The remainder of its portfolio can be allocated to preferred shares, convertible debt instruments, U.S. government bonds, and closed-end investment vehicles. Furthermore, the fund has the discretion to invest up to 20% of its net assets in securities issued by companies headquartered outside the United States.
