The Ashmore Emerging Markets Equity Fund aims to achieve its investment objectives by primarily allocating capital to equity and equity-linked instruments of companies operating in developing economies. These holdings may be denominated in any currency, including the local currency of the issuing entity. An issuer qualifies as an "Emerging Market Issuer" if it is either headquartered in an Emerging Market Country, or generates at least 50% of its revenue or profits from business activities (such as production, sales, investments, or services) conducted within one or more Emerging Market Countries, or if a minimum of 50% of its assets are situated in such countries.
