Aberdeen Total Return Bond Fund Class A (BJBGX) Research
This fund's main goal is to achieve a comprehensive total return. It chiefly allocates its capital across a broad and varied array of debt instruments. These fixed-income assets are issued or backed by a diverse set of entities, including national governments (both the U.S. and foreign), their agencies, instrumentalities, or political subdivisions; multinational organizations supported by several countries, such as the International Bank for Reconstruction and Development; local municipal authorities; and private companies. A significant portion of its portfolio, specifically no less than 80% of its net assets (which accounts for financial derivatives like futures, options, and swaps, along with borrowed funds for investment), will be directed towards securities rated as investment grade.
