Performance Trust Municipal Bond Fund - A Class (PTRMX) Research
The fund's primary objective is to generate substantial current income that is largely exempt from federal income taxes, all while striving to preserve capital. To achieve this, it commits a minimum of 80% of its net assets to high-quality (investment-grade) municipal bonds, which offer interest income free from standard federal taxation. The portfolio manager has the flexibility to allocate up to 20% of assets into municipal securities rated below investment-grade. Separately, up to 20% of the portfolio may also be invested in securities generating income that is subject to federal income tax. Furthermore, the fund is permitted to invest up to 20% of its net assets in other collective investment vehicles, such as closed-end funds (CEFs) and exchange-traded funds (ETFs).
