The fund primarily aims for growth in the value of its investments, with a secondary objective of generating current income, by concentrating mainly on equity securities. Typically, the portfolio commits at least 80% of its total assets to equity instruments of large-capitalization companies. This includes common shares, alongside preferred stocks and debt instruments that are convertible into common stock. For the purpose of this policy, "assets" comprises the fund's net assets augmented by any capital borrowed for investment activities. Large companies are defined as those whose market capitalization aligns with companies within the universe of the Russell 1000® Value Index at the point of acquisition.
