Gabelli Gold Fund, Inc. Class AAA (GOLDX) Research
This fund primarily dedicates a minimum of 80% of its total capital (including any funds acquired through borrowing for investment purposes) to equities of companies worldwide, both U.S. and international, that are fundamentally engaged in gold-related activities, in addition to holdings in physical gold bullion. The investment manager employs a strategy of seeking out stocks that are currently priced below their intrinsic worth but demonstrate considerable potential for future appreciation. Since the bulk of the world's gold is produced outside the United States, the adviser anticipates allocating a substantial portion of the fund's assets to non-U.S. firms, which may include those operating in developing economies.
