Typically, this fund allocates a minimum of 80% of its capital to common stock issued by U.S. firms that qualify as mid-capitalization companies. A mid-cap company is precisely defined, at the time of acquisition, as one possessing a market capitalization ranging from $1.5 billion to $12 billion, or whose market value falls within the current scope of the Russell Midcap® Index. It is important to note that the market capitalization criteria for companies included in the Russell Midcap® Index are not static and will adjust in response to prevailing market conditions.
