In Living Related & Real Estate, Sumitomo directly addresses consumer needs through the operation of food supermarkets and drugstore chains. It also plays a significant role in the trade of cement and building materials, as well as engaging in comprehensive real estate businesses. Finally, the Mineral Resources, Energy, Chemical & Electronics segment is deeply involved in the exploration, development, and trading of a vast range of natural resources, such as coal, iron ore, manganese, uranium, non-ferrous and precious metals, petroleum, natural gas, and liquefied natural gas, alongside commodity derivative transactions. This segment further deals in a diverse array of chemical products (including non-ferrous metal products, LPG, plastics, organic and inorganic chemicals, pharmaceuticals, agrochemicals, fertilizers, and veterinary drugs), electronic components (silicon wafers, LEDs, storage batteries), and provides electronics manufacturing services, coupled with strategic investing activities.
