It is also at the forefront of hybrid and electric vehicle technologies, offering hybrid modules, electric axle drives, and electric wheel hub drives. Its Automotive Aftermarket division caters to the repair and maintenance needs of a wide range of vehicles, including passenger cars, light and heavy commercial vehicles, and tractors, by providing comprehensive repair solutions and supporting services. The Industrial division furnishes an array of components and systems to diverse client segments, encompassing mobility, energy and raw materials, production machinery, aerospace, and general industrial distribution. Schaeffler AG has established a strategic partnership with Fraunhofer-Gesellschaft. The company, founded in 1946 and headquartered in Herzogenaurach, Germany, was originally known as INA Beteiligungsgesellschaft mit beschränkter Haftung before adopting its current name, Schaeffler AG, in October 2014. It operates as a subsidiary of IHO Verwaltungs GmbH.
