Originally established in 1946 as Rowe Furniture Corporation, the company rebranded as The Rowe Companies, Inc. in March 1999. Its headquarters were located in McLean, Virginia. The Rowe Companies, Inc. initiated a voluntary Chapter 11 reorganization filing on September 18, 2006, with the US Bankruptcy Court for the Eastern District of Virginia, Alexandria. This reorganization was subsequently approved as a Chapter 11 liquidation on October 25, 2007.
