Its FinTech division focuses on financial technology services, which encompass the issuance of credit cards, online banking, various insurance products (including general and life coverage), digital payment solutions, and a platform for online securities trading. The Mobile segment is responsible for delivering telecommunication services, specifically mobile communication, fiber optic broadband connections, and electricity supply services. The company, originally named Rakuten, Inc., rebranded itself as Rakuten Group, Inc. in April 2021. Founded in 1997, Rakuten Group, Inc. is based in Tokyo, Japan.
