Poste Italiane S.p.A. operates across Italy, providing a comprehensive range of postal, logistics, financial, and insurance products and services. The company structures its extensive operations into four primary business segments: Mail, Parcels and Distribution; Payments and Mobile; Financial Services; and Insurance Services. The Mail, Parcels and Distribution division is responsible for managing mail and package delivery, as well as overseeing its vast physical distribution network, which notably included 12,761 post offices throughout Italy as of December 31, 2021. The Payments and Mobile segment offers a variety of payment solutions, such as card services and e-money, alongside mobile and fixed-line telecommunications, and digital services specifically tailored for the public sector. Through its Financial Services arm, Poste Italiane collects diverse forms of savings deposits, facilitates payment transactions and foreign currency exchange, provides investment services, and assists in promoting and arranging loans issued by banks and other authorized financial institutions. Finally, the Insurance Services segment specializes in offering both life and casualty insurance policies. Established in 1862, Poste Italiane S.p.A. maintains its corporate headquarters in Rome, Italy.
