Parnassus Mid Cap Fund (PARMX) Research
The fund primarily commits at least 80% of its net assets to companies with a mid-range market capitalization. Management defines a "mid-sized company" as an entity whose market value, at the time of acquisition, falls between the smallest and largest constituents of the Russell Midcap® Index. This particular index is comprised of approximately 800 of the smaller companies listed within the broader Russell 1000® Index. However, the fund maintains the flexibility to allocate up to 20% of its net assets to businesses with either smaller or larger market capitalizations.
