Columbia Global Strategic Equity Fund Class A (NLGIX) Research
The fund's primary objective is long-term capital appreciation. Generally, the fund allocates the majority of its net assets to a variety of equity mutual funds and exchange-traded funds (ETFs). These holdings, collectively referred to as "underlying funds," consist of equity mutual funds and ETFs managed by the Investment Manager or its affiliates (Columbia Funds), alongside those advised by third parties. A core policy dictates that, typically, at least 80% of its net assets must be invested in equity securities. For the purpose of this 80% rule, the definition of "equity securities" is comprehensive. It encompasses common and preferred stocks, securities convertible into common stock, American Depositary Receipts (ADRs), Global Depositary Receipts (GDRs), and shares of underlying funds that focus principally on these types of equity instruments.
