SGI Enhanced Market Leaders ETF (LDRX) Research

LDRX aims to deliver comprehensive returns primarily from large-capitalization stocks, supplemented by a short-duration options strategy. Its investment focus is on established market-leading firms or those demonstrating enhanced business health and sound financials, specifically looking for stable earnings, appealing valuations, and prudent debt levels. To boost income, the fund sells deeply out-of-the-money call and put options, generally expiring within one to seven days, on major market benchmarks such as the S&P 500. This approach seeks to collect premiums from options contracts anticipated to expire unexercised, though it simultaneously curtails potential upward gains and exposes the portfolio to increased downside during turbulent periods. The portfolio may additionally include exchange-traded funds (ETFs) and short-term U.S. Treasury bonds as collateral, alongside generating extra revenue through securities lending. For defensive purposes, the entire asset base can be converted into cash. Prior to May 5, 2025, LDRX operated as the Chestnut Street Exchange Fund, a mutual fund, before its conversion into an ETF with an initial asset base of $166.93 million.
