KraneShares Value Line Dynamic Dividend Equity Index ETF (KVLE) Research
The KVLE exchange-traded fund employs a passive investment strategy, aiming to provide investors with access to U.S. companies. These companies are distinguished by both their robust dividend yields and strong evaluations from Value Line's unique safety and timeliness ranking systems. Value Line's Safety Ranking assesses investment risk by examining a company's price stability and financial solidity, while its Timeliness Ranking evaluates past share price performance over a defined period. Following this initial ranking, the selection process further refines the pool, concentrating on stocks that exhibit optimal dividend characteristics and a specific beta range. Specifically, the fund targets companies within the top quarter of dividend yielders and those whose beta falls between 0.8 and 1. Ultimately, individual company weightings within the ETF are determined by a composite score derived from their Value Line Safety and Timeliness rankings. This adaptive methodology enables the fund to remain responsive to evolving market conditions. Its underlying index undergoes monthly rebalancing. Historically, the fund was known as the KFA Value Line Dynamic Core Equity Index ETF before September 29, 2023. Additionally, its benchmark index was formerly the 3D/L Value Line Dynamic Core Equity Index prior to January 4, 2024.
