Keppel DC REIT (KPDCF) Research

Launched on December 12, 2014, Keppel DC REIT achieved the distinction of becoming Asia's inaugural pure-play data centre real estate investment trust to be listed on the Singapore Exchange (SGX-ST). The REIT's investment philosophy centres on directly or indirectly acquiring a diverse portfolio of income-generating properties primarily used as data centres, as well as associated real estate assets. As of December 31, 2020, its extensive portfolio comprised 19 data centres strategically positioned in key global data centre hubs. These assets collectively provide an estimated lettable area of 2,089,085 square feet, spanning 12 cities across eight countries in both Asia Pacific and Europe. Its Sponsor, Keppel Telecommunications & Transportation Ltd (Keppel T&T), has also granted Keppel DC REIT Rights of First Refusal (ROFR) for future acquisitions of its data centre assets. The REIT is managed by Keppel DC REIT Management Pte. Ltd., a company in which Keppel Capital Holdings Pte. Ltd. (Keppel Capital) holds a 50% interest, with the remaining stake held by Keppel T&T. Keppel Capital is a prominent asset manager in Asia, overseeing a substantial portfolio encompassing real estate, infrastructure, and data centre properties in major international markets. The Manager's core objectives are to deliver consistent and stable distributions to the REIT's Unitholders, alongside fostering long-term growth and maintaining an optimal capital framework.
