Its components include both Master Limited Partnerships (MLPs) and publicly traded Limited Liability Companies (LLCs) that possess a comparable legal framework and identical tax benefits to MLPs. The calculation, administration, and dissemination of this index are performed by S&P Dow Jones Indices LLC.
