iShares iBonds Dec 2023 Term Muni Bond ETF (IBML) Research
This fund is structured to allocate a minimum of 80% of its total assets directly into the specific securities that constitute its benchmark index. Furthermore, at least 90% of its investments will consist of fixed-income instruments that align with the broader types of debt included in that index. The underlying benchmark is primarily composed of municipal debt obligations issued predominantly by U.S. state, federal district, or local governmental bodies and their related agencies. A defining feature of these bonds is that the interest income they generate is exempt from U.S. federal income taxation, including the alternative minimum tax (AMT).
