Catalyst/SMH High Income Fund Cl I (HIIIX) Research

This fund's primary objective is to generate income, with capital appreciation serving as a secondary aim. Its strategy involves concentrating investments in a non-diversified array of lower-rated, high-yielding corporate bonds and convertible securities. The fund has no limits on its allocation to non-investment grade corporate bonds – those assessed as Baa or below by Moody's or BBB or below by S&P, commonly referred to as 'junk bonds'. Furthermore, it may also acquire corporate debt from entities that have previously defaulted on their obligations. While there are no stringent restrictions on the maturity dates of its bond holdings, the portfolio generally maintains an average maturity period of under ten years.
