The primary objective of this fund is to achieve capital growth. Typically, at least 80% of the fund's portfolio is allocated to equity instruments issued by companies in developing economies. The sub-advisers define "emerging market companies" as entities either headquartered or publicly traded in, generating over half their income or earnings from, or possessing more than 50% of their assets within emerging market regions. The eligible equity investments for the fund encompass common shares, preferred shares, and various depositary receipts. While the fund has the flexibility to invest in businesses of any market size, it generally concentrates its holdings in firms with mid-to-large market capitalizations.
