Beyond its hydrocarbon ventures, Fortem Resources also possesses sole ownership of the City of Gold mineral mining project located in Myanmar. Founded in 2004 and headquartered in Calgary, Canada, the company was initially known as Strongbow Resources Inc. before rebranding as Fortem Resources Inc. in March 2017. Unfortunately, after filing for Chapter 11 bankruptcy on October 5, 2021, its voluntary petition for reorganization was subsequently converted to a Chapter 7 liquidation on February 2, 2022.
