First Trust South Korea AlphaDEX Fund (FKO) Research
The fund's primary objective is to broadly replicate the price and yield performance (prior to deducting its own expenses) of the NASDAQ AlphaDEX South Korea Index. Normally, at least 90% of its net assets, encompassing investment borrowings, will be invested in the common shares, depositary receipts, real estate investment trusts (REITs), and preferred shares that constitute this index. The NASDAQ AlphaDEX South Korea Index itself is constructed using the AlphaDEX selection methodology. This methodology aims to identify and choose stocks from the parent NASDAQ South Korea Index (the "base index") that are anticipated to generate positive alpha, meaning enhanced risk-adjusted returns, relative to traditional market benchmarks.
