Its range of optical fiber products was sold under trademarks including InfoGlas®, EconoGrade®, and ValuGrade®. FiberCore contended with notable industry competitors like Corning, Inc., Furukawa/OFS, Alcatel, Draka, Samsung, and Sumitomo. The company ultimately faced severe financial challenges, filing for Chapter 11 reorganization on November 14, 2003, which subsequently transitioned to a Chapter 7 liquidation on October 6, 2004.
