This fund aims for sustained capital appreciation over the long term and the generation of current income. A minimum of 80% of its net assets, supplemented by any borrowed funds for investment, are invested in dividend-paying common stocks. These stocks are issued by companies classified as either medium-capitalization (with market values typically ranging from $5 billion to $12 billion at the time of purchase) or large-capitalization (with market values generally exceeding $12 billion at the time of purchase). Additionally, the fund holds the option to allocate up to 30% of its assets to foreign securities.
