Ashmore Emerging Markets Active Equity Fund - Institutional Class (EMQIX) Research

The Ashmore Emerging Markets Active Equity Fund primarily aims for growth by allocating capital to stocks and other equity-linked instruments issued by entities within emerging markets. These holdings offer currency flexibility, as they may be denominated in any currency, including the local currency of the issuer. A core investment policy mandates that, under normal circumstances, at least 80% of the fund's net assets (including any funds borrowed for investment purposes) will be dedicated to these emerging market equity securities. Importantly, investments in derivatives and other synthetic instruments that mirror the economic characteristics of these core equity assets will also count towards fulfilling this 80% minimum allocation.
