First Trust Bloomberg Emerging Market Democracies ETF (EMDM) Research
The First Trust Bloomberg Emerging Market Democracies ETF (the Fund) aims to generally mirror the financial performance, specifically the price appreciation and income generation, of the Bloomberg Emerging Market Democracies Index (the Index), prior to the deduction of the Fund's operating costs and charges. To achieve this, the Fund typically allocates a minimum of 80% of its net assets (including any capital borrowed for investment purposes) to the various securities comprising the Index. These investments encompass common stocks, depositary receipts, preferred shares, and real estate investment trusts (REITs), among other constituents of the benchmark. The Fund implements a replication strategy to closely track the Index's movements. The Bloomberg Emerging Market Democracies Index itself was created, developed, and is maintained by Bloomberg Index Services Limited, referred to as the Index Provider.
