Airbus Defence and Space: This broad segment focuses on the conceptualization, manufacturing, delivery, and ongoing support of military aircraft, including fighter jets, mission-specific aircraft, transport planes, and aerial refuelling tankers, alongside comprehensive support services. It also provides advanced unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs). Furthermore, it develops civilian and military space systems for diverse applications such as telecommunications, Earth observation, navigation, scientific exploration, and orbital infrastructure. This division also delivers missile technologies and space launch vehicles. Additionally, it offers specialized services encompassing data processing from its platforms, secure communication solutions, and robust cybersecurity measures. Established in 1998, the company adopted its current designation, Airbus SE, in April 2017, having previously operated as Airbus Group SE. Its global headquarters are situated in Leiden, the Netherlands.
