Caledonia Mining Corporation Plc primarily focuses on operating gold mines. In addition to its current mining activities, the company actively explores for and develops mineral properties, particularly those containing precious metals. A significant asset is its 64% ownership stake in the Blanket Mine, an active gold operation located in Zimbabwe's Matabeleland South Province. Furthermore, Caledonia has entered into an agreement to acquire complete ownership (100%) of the Maligreen project, which is a brownfield gold exploration venture situated in the Gweru mining district, part of the Zimbabwe Midlands. The company, which was established in 1992, has its main office in Saint Helier, Jersey. It was previously known as Caledonia Mining Corporation, changing its name to Caledonia Mining Corporation Plc in March 2016.
