Themes Cloud Computing ETF (CLOD) Research

The CLOD exchange-traded fund (ETF) aims to replicate the investment results of the Solactive Cloud Computing Index. This index is constructed from a global pool of cloud computing companies operating in developed markets. The index begins by considering a diverse range of businesses, including small, medium, and large market capitalization firms, all categorized within specific sub-industries of the broader cloud computing landscape. Company selection hinges on their free-float market capitalization, with an emphasis on top-performing firms within each relevant sub-industry. More precisely, the index identifies potential components from several cloud computing segments: up to 20 companies combined from internet infrastructure software and data support software; up to 10 companies each from digital security software, data infrastructure software, and data architecture software; and up to 3 companies from e-commerce infrastructure software. From this broad set of candidates, the 50 securities with the largest market capitalization are ultimately chosen for inclusion in the index. Constituents within the index are weighted proportionally to their free-float market capitalization. Nevertheless, to ensure portfolio diversification and mitigate overconcentration risks, no single security is permitted to represent more than 4.5% of the index's total value. CLOD's holdings are rebalanced every quarter to maintain its target alignment with the underlying index.
