The Global Markets division is active in financial markets, providing essential services like market-making, financing, and the clearing, settlement, and safekeeping of securities. It also helps clients manage financial risks through a variety of products, including derivatives linked to interest rates, equities, credit, currencies, and commodities, in addition to foreign exchange, fixed-income, and mortgage-backed instruments. As of year-end 2021, Bank of America boasted a substantial client base, serving around 67 million individual consumers and small businesses. Its extensive physical footprint included approximately 4,200 branch locations and 16,000 ATMs, complemented by a robust digital presence utilized by roughly 41 million active online users. Established in 1784, the company's headquarters are located in Charlotte, North Carolina.
